I had a full packed weekend which included a wedding of a dear friend (where I saw Chef Day), haircut, a movie, a trip to Tagaytay to look for wedding reception of my sister (which I am the coordinator) and of course, food trip!
It wasn't fancy and all, just finds I would like to share.

Rowena's
This pasalubong store in Tagaytay became instantly famous when they opened in 2000. How could they not? A lot of people prefer their pies!
I have tasted their buco pie before and I love it. This time, I bought the assorted tarts - mango, pineapple, ube, apple and buco. Yum!

They are like gummy bears but with sugar coating. Each color represents a different flavor - so don't be fooled, they are not just colored for visual delight but for your palette's delight as well.
On the way home from Tagaytay, we passed by Mr. Moo's. A cheese store and I bought Kesong Puti (white cheese). I would love to buy, feta and ricotta but they run out of it already.
Unlike when you buy in supermarkets, Mr. Moo packs your cheese with ice. The store attendant gives instructions on how to store them and how long they will last, with ice, without ice and if inside the fridge. Very customer-oriented.
Fruit stands line the roads of Tagaytay and fresh jackfruit is one of the things you don't want to miss. I was wondering if I will buy some for I can only see the big fruit cut in half, I cannot consume so much. Good thing when we stopped, they have some in small packages, already peeled for Php100.00
When will I be next weekend? We'll see :D
