Choco Moist Caramel Cake by Aggy's Cakes and Sweets

Last Thursday, while browsing my email subscription on Philippine Star, I saw an article entitled The Comforts of Chocolate Cake. Curious as I am a dead fan of chocolate cake, I read on. Chef Heny Sison described how heavenly this cake is.  With watering mouth,  I continue reading and found myself wanting to have a bite of this cake. Immediately!

But how? All three branches are far away from where I was staying ;(

As I was making a mental note on when I to a pay a visit to one of their stores, a friend of mine (his name is Jako) sent me an instant message saying hi and hello and told me that if I'm free the next day, he'll visit me at home and even asked what "pasalubong" can he bring.  I immediately remembered that he is from the South and can pass by Aggy's Cakes and Sweets in BF. The gods must have heard my plea!  I asked him to bring me slice of that cake.  He knows the place.  Perfect.  I'll have my cake the next day.

He kept his promise and bought me this.

Wohoo! Got to have a bite but I have to take pictures first.

Chef Heny Sison was right.  The cake tastes heaven!  Once the cake touched my mouth, I felt the smoothness of it.  The cake is dense and moist just the way I like it. It's not too sweet considering it has caramel on top.  It has the perfect combination of smell, taste and texture that I am looking for in a chocolate cake.  I am in bliss, I can die!

Thanks Jako for this gift!  Next time I'll ask you to buy the whole cake, I'll eat it the whole day!
